Patti is the teacher-author behind Madly Learning. She has been teaching for 10 years and for the last 6 has taught a 4/5 combined class and loves it. She holds Specialist Qualifications in Reading and English as a Second Language. She is passionate about sharing her experiences in her classroom both the ups, downs and everything in between. Especially concerning her life as a split grade teacher, learning and embracing the importance of differentiated instruction and student-centered inquiry.  She is currently hosting a weekly live video on Facebook to help support teachers with using inquiry in their classroom. Margie from Coach’s Corner has taught from Kindergarten to Grade 6 (almost always in split-grade classes) as well as Learning Disability and Mixed Exceptionality Classes.  In addition to her classroom experience, she has been seconded three times by her school board for special assignments: Team READ, Numeracy Facilitator, and Kindergarten - Grade 6 Program Consultant. As she graduated with a double Honours in History and English, her particular passion is helping her students become engaged citizens of the world during lively, inquiry-based social studies classes. Sidney from Teachingisagift has been a teacher and instructional leader for 27 years with the Toronto District School Board. She holds Specialist qualifications in Special Education (including Gifted) and Science (P/J). Sidney is a published author of a well known Hands-On Science program and has authored and taught all three parts of the Science in P/J specialist course AQ courses. She is a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Sidney can be found blogging at Teachingisagift and has a store on Teachers Pay Teachers where she focuses on hands-on, minds-on resources for Ontario science and technology created for teachers of combined and single grades.
